Motorcycle Grandpa

Raul got himself a motorcycle about two months ago. He has been wanting one for a long time and he finally got it. We all joke around about how the baby is going to say that he has the coolest Grandpa because his Grandpa has a motorcyle.
For Father's Day we decided to get him a leather jacket to go with his motorcyle. He loved it and it looks great.

Raul with his new jacket.

Rosa was so nervous at first about the bike but now she gets on and goes on rides.

I love motorcycles. I can't wait till I get a chance to have a ride on it.

Fourth of July

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays; maybe because the next day is my birthday. But honestly I love the fireworks and how when they go off the anthem is playing in the background. It helps me to remember and appreciate this country and all the blessings it brings to my family. It also helps me to remember the people in my family who have fought for the very rights that I enjoy.
Gotta love fireworks!!!

There was so much smoke and Angel and Yahir were running through it every chance they got.
Both Cris' family and mine brought fireworks and we spent a good hour and a half after the big fireworks shotting off our own. So much fun and lots of laughs.

Danny even hung out with us and had a good time. Go Fourth of July.

Angel's Birthday

This was Angel's 11th birthday.
He had friends and family come and have a soccer themed swim party.
Angel is so cold because he just got out of the pool; but what a smile!

All his friends and family come to celebrate.

His older brother Danny just chillin'

and of course the infamous Coaster.

Angel had a great time and was given some really cool gifts; some awesome clothes from friends, a ripstick from his parents, and tickets to the America Morelia game from Cris and I. He was most excited I think when his two friends from school came and he could hang out with them.

Camping Trip to Lake Mendocino

Us at the lake. Don't we look cute. We were on this hike and at the top the view was so great.
This is Yahir (my brother-in-law) at the lake. He is all bundled up because it got really cold one of the days that we were there. It was only warm one day and we did get in. The water was freezing.
This is Cris' new friend. His parents got this dog, Coaster, and cris really loves him. He is a 7 month old golden retriever. He came with us camping and even had his own tent.
This is the family on a 3 mile hike. Let me tell you, by the end of that hike I was exhausted. Then the next day I was sore. What a dope I am for thinking I could go that far pregnant.
This is me on the hike. You can really see that baby now. I love it.
This is the beautiful lake from the highest point on the hike. Very beautiful.
The camping trip was so great. We have this massive tent that about 10 people can fit in, plus my huge double high queen sized air bed. That is the way you go camping pregnant, air mattress. Since it was cool most of the time we were there, we had that fire going most of the day. I think the fire is my favorite part; pyro anybody. The bathrooms even had a shower with warm water, Halleluyah. So you can definetly see we weren't really roughing it. I think that camping is something that Cris and I really love. Now I just have to get him to fish. I loved it when Shayne would take us all camping and he would take us fishing. Since Cris doesn't seem to be a big fan, I think I am going to have to have Shayne teach me so I can teach the baby. Or he will just have to come and visit and teach him for me. I like the second idea.

THE FUN OF IT ALL!

Cris is here setting up baby's first bed. Is it not beautiful. We were so excited when we found this crib. I love bulky wood furniture and this crib fits right in.

First baby shower is coming up tomorrow. My mother-in-law Rosa is throwing me this shower and I am really excited. We have waited so long to get to do all these baby things, I am just swimming in joy that it is finally my turn. Does that sound bad, but if you know our story you understand.
These are the invitations that I made. The baby doesn't really have a themed room but I did decide on having sage green and brown be some focal colors. So the invites are those colors. The card folds in thirds and had an ultrasound picture of the baby in the middle. He wanted to invite everyone personally.

Baby at 29 Weeks

This is the little guy. This picture is him looking right at you. You can see his two eyes, nose and mouth. He is totally smiling too!!! He definetly has big cheeks like both sides of our families.
This was the ultrasound from today. They say that he is 29 weeks along, 3.3 pounds, and in the 70th percentile for all his measurements. They also said that he has alot of hair.
It was great fun to see him. They showed me how he was positioned, which is head down, facing my spine, with his legs and arms hitting and kicking my right side; which I can testify is true. But of course the one time he wasn't moving was during this ultrasound and they really wanted him too.

Baby Belly at 27 weeks

What a bad blogger I am. I have not updated this in months but here we go.

The baby is doing great and I am really showing now. He moves around all the time especially when I eat. Alot of the time it seems like he is making my belly dance. When he does, I totally crack up because it tickles.

This past week my mom bought the baby a crib and Cris and I set it up. It looks great. It is one of those convertible kind so I hope it was worth it to buy. We are finally starting to get the nursery together; well it is really half the office. Poor guy has to share his room with a really big but beautiful office desk. Oh, and we are preping for the first of the two baby showers. It is very difficult to have a bilingual baby shower, so we divided the people up. My mother-in-law Rosa and my mom are throwing me a baby shower in spanish and my friends Amy Smith, Anne Smith, Charlotte Harumi and Michelle Eagar are throwing me one in English. They are all so sweet to do this. It is so much work and I am really grateful.

I have an ultrasound today so when I get those pictures I will post those along with pictures from our trip to Lake Mendocino this coming weekend. Wish me luck, camping at 29 weeks pregnant, well we'll see how that goes.

I also have to say how genuinely happy I am. To me, it feels like I was meant to be pregnant, meant to be a mom and I wouldn't trade in this time for anything in the world. With that said I have to let everyone know what a great husband I have and how much he has been helping me. A friend of ours asked Cris one time how the pregnancy was going and he told her how it was going great and that I have felt really good the whole time and she said that he must me doing a good job taking care of me and I really think that is true. He is so considerate and loving and I am really grateful.

Some of you have asked for pictures of me so here we are. Two pictures of me taken about a week ago. Sorry they aren't that good but I took them by myself using the timer on my camera.
